EBR LAB Junior/Senior PROM

EBR LAB has scheduled prom for April 21. More information to follow! Students must pay their fees for this to be a success.

 

ENCORE - EBR LAB Annual Black History Program - ENCORE

The Black History Program is scheduled for an encore April 27 at Istrouma High Schools Auditorium and Gym. Tickets: $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door! We look forward to your participation. For more information see Mrs. Motton, Mr. Hoang, Ms Kelly or Ms. Mburi

 

The 2nd Annual Black and White Basketball Game is scheduled for April 27. More information to follow!

Kevin Hunt named Dean of Students for EBR LAB Academy

EBR LAB Academy welcomes our new Dean of Students, Kevin Hunt. Mr. Hunt will also serve as Athletic Director and boy’s basketball coach.

 

Junior and Senior Fees

Senior Fees in the amount of $150 need to be paid by Feb. 23

Junior Fees in the amount of $100 needs to be paid by March 3

 

EBR LAB PTO

PTO will host their next meeting. We would like to thank those who are volunteering their time. If you would like to be part of the EBR PTO please contact the school for more info.

 

Sports-Track and Bowling

We look forward to your continued support of Pelican Athletics. Bowling is in progress and track is beginning. For more information and schedule see Coach Jackson, Coach Watson or Coach Hoang.

 

Spirit Shirts

Remaining Spirit shirts are on sale. Shirts are only $5 with three to choose from. Buy one or all three. Students will be allowed to wear their spirit shirt with uniform pants.

 

PELICAN Yearbooks

2011-12 Yearbooks are on sale NOW. The price is $26 and you are able to purchase online. Look for the Jostens Yearbook Logo and order yours. Personal ad pages are also available for you to purchase. For more information see Ms. Caesar, Mr. Watson or any yearbook staff member.

When you choose the East Baton Rouge Laboratory Academy (EBR Lab) you make  a choice that can transform your life. Through an intensive liberal arts education, EBR Lab will prepare you for your future by challenging you to think, to question, to create, to dream, and to achieve. 

Our students are critical thinkers-engaged in the democratic process and working- pursuing college and careers and becoming the thoughtful citizens and leaders of tomorrow.

 

Plan for Your Success
With an ultimate enrollment of just 400 students (100 students per grade level), EBR Lab offers a small learning environment that helps students make informed choices about their learning and their lives. Our students participate in: 
  • An extended school day with afternoon activities.
  • Summer programming.
  • A code of conduct that requires students to demonstrrtate the philosphy embodied by EBR Lab- collaborative learning, mutual support, and participation in a strong advisory program.
  • A student-centered school culture defined by respect.

Accepting 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Applications for 2011-2012 School Year

There are a few slots available in all grades, therefore it is imperative to apply early.
